In
the past we always published all our prices on the
website. Quite useful for our customers, it seemed...
Unfortunately
that often had some unwanted side effects:
Many
sellers were constantly troubled by their relatives,
neighbours and friends. Everybody in the area knew
what prices they asked for their property. So long
before the first customer inspected the place people
asked the seller for money: "You have to help
me, I'm your cousin brother." - "You have
to give me a loan, I'm your neighbour." - "You
have to share with me, I'm your elder brother, and
I'm in desperate need."
More than once obligations piled up to the point that
the seller had to raise the price after a while.
What
to do?
Many
of our prices will only be given on request now. That
will calm down the village gossip. It's to your advantage
as well as to the benefit of the sellers.
